Alsace Lutheran Church Camp, 2007

Team Relay Race
Teams had to construct a "bridge" with newspaper articles and run across them - with their eyes closed!

Arts and Crafts
Campers spent time every day making fun crafts.

Come Sail Away on the S.S. Good News
This was our theme: learning how to follow where Jesus takes us!

Free Time
This is an example of the typical day at church camp. Whenever there was free time, we were always playing games, outside or inside.

Mini-golfing
We were able to have a few fun-filled hours at the local miniature golf course...

... even though some team was cheating!!!

Relay Race, Take Two
In this race, team members had to crawl, as fast as possible, through their teammates' legs.

Morning Devotions
Here's an example of our daily morning devotional sessions.

Cookout
We had a special cookout night, feturing hot dogs and marshmellows!

De-ice the Shirt!
Another (probably the most frustrating) game was one where we had to take a shirt that had been soaked in ice water, and attempt to turn it into a wearable T-shirt. Yes, it was as difficult as it looks.

Reunion
After a small accident, we were very happy to be reunited with our church camp director.

Ropes Course
Some of us chose to ascend the intimidating ropes course...

... while others remained on the ground, in awe of our incredible strength...

... and although it was a hard journey...
... it was all worth it in the end... safe on the ground.

Spaghetti Head Competition
One of our team challenges was to artistically stick spaghetti into the longest-haired members of our teams...

... I wonder, did we have pasta for dinner that night?

Meals
Speaking of food, we had great meals every night! Every meal was eaten after a prayer offered by one of the cabins.

Pool
Most days, we had the option to go swimming in the camp's pool.

Beach Party
Towards the end of the week, we had our outdoor beach-style party!

Vespers
Every night, we had a music-filled worship service.

Sail Away on the S.S. Good News
Here we are, preparing for our live show. Parents were invited to see the play being performed.

We even had our own jazz band!

It's getting tense! It's only a few minutes until showtime.
