Sunday School

Alsace Lutheran Church believes that Sunday School isn't just kid's stuff. We feel that adults as well as children need instruction on how to apply God's Word to their daily lives so that they can continue to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be effective servants in God's Kingdom.

As a result, Alsace has a dedicated team of gifted teachers who provide Christian instruction every Sunday of the year in a wide variety of classes that range in age from infants and toddlers to senior citizens. All of these classes provide a smaller, more intimate setting in which to discuss the Bible and how it relates to the world in which we live today. It also provides an opportunity to fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ to strengthen and sustain each other as one body of believers so that we may witness for Jesus more effectively every day.

Our Sunday School Classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M. in various rooms throughout the Church. Here are the classes that we offer:

• Nursery: Up to 3 yrs. old
• Pre-School: Ages 3 & 4
• Kindergarten: Ages 5 & 6
• Primary Dept: Grades 1-2
• Middler: Grades 3-4
• Junior Dept: Grades 5-6
• Jr. High: Grades 7-8
• Sr. High: Grades 9-12
• Free Spirits: Young Adults
• Youthful Adults
• Couple's Class
• Mother's Class
• Catechetical Classes: Youth and Adult
• Sunday School Rally Day

Youth Group

The Alsace Youth Group is a ministry for all youth in grades 7-12. This organization is designed to provide fun, Christ-centered activities for our youth. Besides having fun activities such as sleep-overs, bowling parties, hay rides, Easter Egg hunts and our annual Winter Retreat and Summer Shore Trip, we try to provide service-oriented projects for our youth so they may share the love of Christ with others in our congregation and community.

We are blessed to have a dedicated corps of advisors who volunteer their time and talent to help our young people develop and grow a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and show them how to live out their faith in a real way.

If you're a teenager who wants to spend some time with other Christian teenagers and have some great times, or maybe you're a parent who wants to involve your teens in fun, Christian activities, then look no further. The Alsace Youth Group is the place for you!

Alsace Angels

When it comes to fun Christian activities for kids, we didn't think it would be fair for the older kids to have all the fun. So we started the Alsace Angels Group for children in grades 3-6. The idea is the same as the Youth Group - fun, Christian activities for young people. The only difference is that the activities are age-appropriate for children in grades 3 through 6. When it comes to fun and teaching kids about the love of God, however, everything is the same - dedicated advisors, fun activities, and a program that helps start a child out on a life's journey with Jesus Christ.

Here you will find activities going on at Alsace and in our community that pertain specifically to our children and Christian families. In addition to our links page, we will also have links here that are geared specifically to kids. This is not a Christian site but it is a great web guide for kids that's pretty cool and has lots of fun things for kids to do.

BigIdea.com is the official web site of Big Idea Productions, the creators of the best-selling video series, VeggieTales! This is great online entertainment where you can play some of the coolest games on the Web, send a friend a Veg-E-Card and learn all about Big Idea, their mission, products and much more.

Kid's Quest:
A great educational site that helps kids learn more about God by exploring His creation. Fun for the whole family with games, activities, stories, answers to childrens' questions, color pages, and more! A popular Christian education and evangelism resource.
