24 Hour Famine

On Friday, March 16 through Saturday, March 17 the Senior Youth and Advisors participated in a 24-Hour Famine to raise money for World Vision. Even though we did have "juice breaks" and crackers around mealtime, we tried to imagine what it would be like not to have anything or very little to eat. The youth members took on the role of one of the children, including whether they were deaf, mute, cripped in some way, blind, etc. and participated on a number of "tribe" games. This was certainly an eye-opening experiece for both the youth and advisors who participated. The great news is that a total of $1200 was raised for World Vision.
