Rev. Richard A. Nelson
Rev. Richard Nelson resides in Fleetwood with his wife, Leanne and children, Rachel and Aaron. He is a 1981 graduate of Upsala College with a BA in Human Resources Management, and a 1985 graduate of the Lutheran Theological seminary in Philadelphia with a Master of Divinity degree. He began his ministry with Alsace in September of 1995 as the Associate Pastor, and was called as the sole Pastor in October of 2013.
Pastor Nelson’s responsibilities include: administrative duties of the congregation; provide pastoral counseling, crisis care and pastoral visitation; supervise and lead all worship services; provide leadership and programs in youth ministry; oversee Christian education of the church, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Church Camp; instruct catechetical classes and Bible Break (a weekly Bible Study), and conduct pastoral acts of baptisms, weddings and funerals.

Rev. Charles E. Fair
Rev. Charles Fair resides with his wife, Louise in Wyomissing. He began his ministry at Alsace on January 1, 1960 and after serving Alsace faithfully for 33 years, he retired on October 30, 1993.

Rev. Mark E. Brophy
Mark Brophy resides with his wife, Barbara in Leesport. He began his ministry at Alsace on August 15, 1985 as Associate Pastor. He became the Senior Pastor on November 14, 1993 and retired in October 2013.
He is still very active in many areas of the community. Although he is retired, he has not had time to rest. he and his wife travel and spend time with their family.

Cynthia began as Parish Secretary on September 10, 1997. She resides in Laureldale and has been coming to Alsace since her parents joined in April, 1963.
Cindy reports directly to Pastor Nelson. Some of her responsibilities as secretary include preparing weekly bulletins, preparing a monthly newsletter, answering phones and keeping updated records on church membership. She assists different committees in making copies or preparing information for them. In addition to working in the office during the day, she participates in two choral choirs and a handbell choir. She is also a youth advisor with the Senior Youth Group and is a staff member for the Church Camp.

David resides in Muhlenberg Township with his wife, Norma. They have 2 sons, Chad and Travis, as well as grandchildren, Lillian and Riley. He retired after teaching 34 years as the Music Teacher at Northeast Middle School in the Reading School District.
Dave is responsible for the supervision of the Music Department here at Alsace. He directs 6 Choral Choirs, 2 Handbell Choirs and the instrumental ensembles. He plans and orders the music for all 8 choirs. Along with our Organist, he provides direction for the music of Vacation Bible School and Church Camp. Even with his many responsibilities at Alsace, he is very involved with his grandchildren, as well as his private singing students. He also plays trumpet with the Reading High School Alumni Band.
Dave also heads up the Music Committee as well as the Derr Fund. These two groups are putting together a concert series that will cover a variety of different venues.
David is the director for the Greater Reading Encore Chorale (a chorus for singers 55 and older) and the Andulhea Heritage Chorale in Hamburg (a group of approximately 50 singers). He also works with the chorus for the Spring Musical at Muhlenberg High School.
Nina resides in Exeter Township with her husband, David. Nina and Dave have been married since 1979. Nina was born at Fort George G. Meade Army Hospital while her father served as Lieutenant Colonel in the Army.They have two children: Matthew who is married to Emily, and Katie a student at Antonelle Institue, studying Photography. She retired after 33 years as the Middle School Music Teacher at Southern Middle School in Reading. She began her music ministry at Alsace on March 11, 1990.
Nina plays for two worship services each Sunday morning along with accompanying some of the choir rehearsals. She assists the Music Director with the programs for Vacation Bible School and Church Camp. She is the organist for most weddings that are held at Alsace. She is also responsible for the minor maintenance of the organ.
Nina is the accompanist and the treasurer for the Greater Reading Encore Chorale (a chorus for singers 55 and older).
